This project focussed on rethinking the user interface of synthesizers to enable everyone creating synthetical sounds without previous knowledge in music production.
Therefore the complexity was reduced to basic options. The interface elements – mainly rotary knobs, that are frequently used in this area of application by offering a precise and quick handling and easily visible positions – are structured in units by function and confined by illuminatable frames. Thereby the user‘s focus can be guided smoothly. The interface is reduced to five simple sections, that can be discovered individually.
